The Northern Yan (北燕 Bĕi Yān; 407 or 409–436), also known in some historical texts as the Eastern Yan (东燕 Dōng Yān), was a dynastic state during the era of Sixteen Kingdoms in northern China. Some historians consider Gao Yun, a member of the Goguryeo royal family, to be the first Northern Yan monarch, while others consider Feng Ba of Han Chinese ethnicity to be the founder.All rulers of the Northern Yan declared themselves "emperors".

北燕（）是十六国时期汉人冯跋建立的政权。407年，冯跋灭后燕，拥立高云（慕容云）为天王，建都龙城（今辽宁省朝阳市），仍旧沿用后燕国号。409年，高云被部下离班、桃仁所杀，冯跋平定政变后即天王位于昌黎（今辽宁省义县）。据有今辽宁省西南部和河北省东北部。436年被北魏所灭。因其都龙城，又名黄龙，故南朝宋称其为黄龙国。也有史书因其地处东北地区南部，又称其为东燕，但较为罕见。
