1  | 乾隆三十三年奉敕撰。以明正德中，李東陽等所修《通鑒纂要》，多所舛漏，乃命詳考史傳，定著此編。凡書法褒貶，一秉聖裁。其沿訛踵謬之處，並親為論定，以昭千古之是非。至明季福王南渡不久就俘。特命於乙酉一年分註，以存其位號。而唐、桂二王，竊據稱戈者，雖黜其年號，亦存其遺事，並詔續為編錄，附於末篇。尤聖人至公之心，度越恒情萬萬者矣。 |
