君王氏，諱乙，字次公。其望在太原，而實家大名之元城，不知其始所以徙。曾祖諱安，當周世宗時為閣門通事舍人。祖諱廷溫，開寶中泰寧軍節度副使。考諱奉，右班殿直、贈左武衛大將軍。君嘗舉進士不中，因獻其所藏書秘閣，而上書言「先臣某逮許王，於先皇帝有一日之幸，臣實其子。」天子下其問驗，以為三班借職，累遷至內殿崇班、閣門祗候、淮南東路都巡檢使。皇祐二年，年七十三，以右領軍衛將軍致仕，卒於海州。而以嘉祐二年葬真州之揚子縣某鄉某原，以後夫人劉氏祔，於是先夫人林氏既葬矣！
