2  | 百拜字出〈樂記〉。古人之拜如今之鞠躬，故通計一席之間賓主交拜，近至於百。《註》云：壹獻士飲酒之禮，百拜以喻多是也。（徐伯魯曰：按鄉飲酒禮無百拜，此特甚言之耳。）若平禮止是一拜再拜，即人臣於君亦止再拜。孟子以君命將之，再拜稽首而受是也。禮至末世而繁，自唐以下即有四拜。《大明會典》：四拜者，百官見東宮親王之禮。其見父母亦行四拜禮，其餘官長及親戚朋友相見止行兩拜禮，是四拜唯於父母得行之。今人書狀動稱百拜何也？ 古人未有四拜之禮，唐李涪《刊誤》曰：夫郊天祭地，立於再拜，其禮至重，尚不可加。今代婦謁姑章其拜必四，詳其所自，初則再拜，次則跪獻衣服文史，承其筐篚，則跪而受之。常於此際，授受多誤。故四拜相屬耳。 |
