九月，丙辰，周起罷樞密副使，曹瑋罷簽書樞密院事。起自天禧元年九月除同知樞密院事，三年十二月，遷樞密副使，是年九月罷，在樞府三年。丁謂用事，逐寇準，而以周起為黨，罷知青州，又降太常少卿，知光州。謂得罪，復禮部侍郎、留守南京，卒，贈禮部尚書，謚安惠。瑋自天禧四年正月除簽書樞密院事，是年九月罷，在樞府一年。寇準謫道州，丁謂惡瑋不附己，指為準黨，出之。未幾，復降為左衛大將軍、容州觀察使，知萊州。瑋自知宿將為謂所忌，恐益為謂中，即日上道，從弱卒十餘人，不以弓長矢ゅ自隨。謂敗，乃復節度使，卒，贈侍中，謚武穆。治平中，配享仁宗廟庭。瑋好讀書，通《左氏春秋》。為將幾四十年，未嘗敗衄，威震西鄙，勒斯賚每聞其名，以手加額而東嚮之。鎮天雄，契丹使過，必戒其下，無敢疾驅者。在渭州，始置弓箭手，其所措置後皆為法云。子琮之孫詩，尚魯、邠國大長公主。琮累官至馬軍副都指揮使。

任中正，自大中祥符九年九月，除樞密副使。天禧元年九月，除同知樞密院事。三年十二月，除樞密副使。四年八月，除參知政事，是年六月罷。為執政凡六年，事真宗五年，事仁宗纔數月。中正之貶，坐營救丁謂故也。後復禮部尚書，卒。贈左僕射，謚康懿。弟中師，仁宗時為樞密副使。
