40  | 庚午，吐蕃戎人以名馬來貢，召見其酋長於崇政殿。因謂宰相曰：蕃戎言語不通，衣服異制，朕常以禽獸畜之。自唐已來，頗為邉患。以國家兵力，聊舉偏師，即可驅於数千里外。但念其種族蕃熾，各安其土，儻盡驅之，必恣殺戮，所以置於度外，存而勿論也。各賜酋長束帛，以慰撫之。 |
