《卷三十四英宗之立》
2  | 仁宗景祐二年春二月，育宗室子宗實于宮中。宗實，太宗之曾孫，商王元份之孫，江寧節度使允讓之子也。帝未有儲嗣，取入宮，命皇后撫鞠之，生四年矣。 |
| 13 | 三月辛未，帝崩於福寧殿，年五十四。遺制皇子即皇帝位，山陵制度務從儉約。於是皇后悉斂諸門鑰，置於前，黎明，召皇子入嗣位。皇子驚，再言曰「曙不敢為」因反走，韓琦等共掖留之。 |
| 15 | 乙亥，帝有疾。丙子，尊皇后曰皇太后。己卯，詔請皇太后權同處分軍國事。后乃御內東門小殿垂簾，宰臣日奏事。后性慈儉，頗涉經史，多援以決事。中外章奏日數十上，一一能記綱要，有疑未決者則曰「公輩更議之」未嘗出巳意。曹氏及左右臣僕毫分不以假借，宮省肅然。 |
| 16 | 庚子，立高氏為皇后。后，侍中瓊之曾孫，母曹氏，太后姊也，故少育于宮中，與帝同年生，又俱撫鞠於太后。仁宗嘗曰「異日必以為配」既長，出宮，婚于濮邸，封京兆郡君，生三子。至是，冊為皇后。 |
