1  | 南唐高祖姓李，諱知誥。生於徐州。有唐鄭王疏屬之枝泒。父志祖榮俱不仕。帝少孤，有姊出家為尼，出入徐溫家，帝亦隨姊往來。溫妻李氏以其同姓憐其明慧，收為養子，居諸子之上，名曰「知誥」，累典郡符。溫為丞相，封齊王，出鎮金陵。留帝在都，執楊氏政事。帝沈機遠略，莫知其際，折節謙下，中外所瞻。纔及弱冠即秉大權。楊都浩繁之地，海內所聞，率由儉素，無所耽溺。內輔幼主，外弼義父，延楊祚十餘年，帝之力也。幼主即帝位，而丞相溫總其兵。嘗以讖詞「有東海鯉魚飛上天」之語，由是懷逼主禪位之心矣。帝加九錫封齊王。丙申年，執政者欲以楊氏一朝然後受禪。烈祖不可，遂以國稱唐，改元昇元。始更李氏名，昇追尊丞相溫為義祖，皇帝吳帝為讓皇帝，在位七年，年五十六，廟號烈祖，謚曰孝高，陵曰永陵。元恭皇后宋氏焉，子璟立，即元宗也。 |
