22  | 岳名家子，好學，敏於文辭，善談論。舉進士，事梁為左拾遺、侍御史。末帝時，為翰林學士，累官至兵部侍郎。梁亡，貶均州司馬，復用為太子詹事。唐明宗時，為吏部侍郎。故事，吏部文武官告身，皆輸朱膠紙軸錢然後給，其品高者則賜之，貧者不能輸錢，往往但得敕牒而無告身。五代之亂，因以為常，官卑者無復給告身，中書但錄其制辭，編為敕甲。岳建言，以謂「制辭或任其材能，或褒其功行，或申以訓誡，而受官者既不給告身，皆不知受命之所以然，非王言所以告詔也。請一切賜之。」由是百官皆賜告身，自岳始也。 |
