3  | 等謹案：《圖繪寳鑑》五卷，元夏文彥撰。文彦字士良，其先吳興人，居於松江。嗜古精繪，事為楊維楨所稱。其家多藏古蹟，又於見聞所及，廣搜博訪，采輯古今能畫者，録其姓氏，加以品藻，作為是編。自軒轅以迄元代，旁及外國，得一千五百餘人。中間如封膜之類，尚沿舊訛，未能糾正。又每代所列，不以時為區別，往往先後倒置，難於檢尋，體例亦未為盡善。然其搜羅廣博，幾於苞括無遺，洵亦畫史中之最詳贍者。郎瑛《七修類稿》嘗謂圖繪寳鑑，但紀厯代善畫名人及所師某人而已，當再添言，所以方盡其意。如董源則曰，山是麻皮皴之類，馬逺則曰山是大斧劈，兼丁頭鼠尾之類，如是則二人之規矩已寓目前，而後之觀其畫者亦易云云。其意若以是書為未備，而欲為補之，不知文彥所紀主於徵考家數源流，與筆法賦等書之詳論畫訣者不同，固未可執是說而輒嫌其疏漏也。《續編》一卷，明欽天監副韓昻所纂，起明初迄正徳百五十年間，採輯得一百七人，而冠以宣、憲、孝三宗御筆，成於正徳十四年。今核其書中如文彭、陸治、錢榖等已下及嘉靖時，則後人又有所増補矣。乾隆四十六年六月恭校上。 |
