度支郎中一人。漢初，張蒼善算，以列侯主計，居相府，領郡國上計者，謂之計相，殆今度支之任。魏尚書有度支，歷代度支具尚書中。隋初為度支侍郎，煬帝除「侍」字，武德加「中」字。龍朔二年，改度支為司度，咸亨元年復舊。掌支使國用。開元二十四年三月，戶部尚書同中書門下三品李林甫奏：「租庸、丁防、和糴、雜支、春綵、稅草諸色旨符，承前每年一造，據州府及諸司計，紙當五十萬張，仍差百司鈔寫，事甚勞煩。條目既多，詳檢難過，緣無定額，支稅不常，亦因此涉情，兼長姦偽。臣今與採訪使及朝集使商量，有不穩便於人、非當土所出者，隨意沿革，務從允便，即人知定准，政有常文，編成五卷，以為長行旨符。省事司每年但據應支物數，進書頒行，每州不過一兩紙，仍附驛送。」飭依。至德以後，戎事費多。二年十二月，呂諲為兵部侍郎平章事，充勾當度支使。上元元年五月，劉晏為戶部侍郎、勾當度支使。元年建子月，元載為戶部侍郎、勾當度支使。寶應元年正月，劉晏為戶部侍郎、勾當度支使。貞元二年十二月，韓滉以宰相加度支使。五年二月，竇參為中書侍郎平章事、度支使。自後雖無，亦有他官判，或云「權判」亦云「專判」。員外郎一人。改置與戶部員外郎同。
