6  | 升南京兵部職方司主事。大司馬南昌張公器童之。南京歲造馬快船，畿輔及江西、湖廣積逋料解八十餘萬。朝廷以空名敕降兵部，兵部歲遣其屬公廉者，上其名，齎敕以往。至是，君以選行。始至一郡，卻餽遺，於是兩省望風肅然，無敢以私奉君。君至，則與其君長議所便，惟恐傷民。凡歷三十餘郡，周行數千餘里，觸冒毒暑，還至巴陵而病。歲已暮，過家謁母，時已升駕部員外郎，欲移告，不及而卒。時嘉靖三十九年正月二十八日。享年四十有三。 |
