李彝興，夏州人也，本姓拓跋氏。唐貞觀初，有拓跋赤辭者歸唐，太宗賜姓李，置靜邊等州以處之。其後析居夏州者號平夏部。唐末，拓跋思恭鎮夏州，統銀、夏、綏、宥、靜五州地，討黃巢有功，復賜李姓。思恭卒，弟思諫代為定難軍節度使。思諫卒，思恭孫彝昌嗣。梁開平中，彝昌遇害，將士立其族子蕃部指揮仁福。仁福卒，子彝超嗣。事具《五代史》。
