按：夏州當五代之時，自開平訖顯德終始五十三年，暮楚朝秦，充然無復廉恥。然其表附北漢，則有可取焉。蓋郭威篡奪漢祚，弒湘陰公，四方藩鎮靡然從之。於時北顧太原，危如一線，彞殷獨以邊方慕義，力扶孱弱，是真不以成敗利鈍之見存於中者也。

顯德元年春正月，定難軍節度使、檢校太尉、加太師、侍中、兼中書令、同平章事李彞殷晉西平王。

周世宗顯德二年春正月，定難軍節度使李彞殷以兵塞府州路，既而罷之。

顯德四年冬十一月，李彞殷叛北漢，誘楊崇訓歸周。

彞殷于顯德中雖受恩秩，貢奉甚稀。聞太祖受禪，遣銀州防禦使李光曮奉表入賀。避宣祖諱，改名興。太祖嘉之，使守太尉。光曮，彞興族子也。陳師道曰：宋初職備三公者，內則趙普，外惟彝興。彞興以藩鎮領之，尤異數也。

按：漢、周世為仇讎。廣順、顯德中無歲不擾。宋有天下，餘忿未消，猶以兵寇麟、府諸州。李氏自歸宋以來，頻與漢戰，累立大功，其效順之心可謂城矣。
