何去非，字正通，北宋浦城（今福建省浦城）人。何去非喜談兵學，六舉進士不第。元豐五年（1082年），被任命為右班殿直、武學教授，不久升任武學博士。而且善于做文，頗受蘇軾賞識，稱其對策「詞理優贍，長于論兵」。元祐四年蘇軾薦為承奉郎，不事阿諛奉承。元祐五年出京擔任徐州教授。蘇軾又推薦他擔任富陽縣令。曾參與校定《武經七書》。有子何薳。
