楊簡（1141年 - 1226年），南宋理學家，明州慈谿（今寧波市）人，字敬仲，世稱慈湖先生。父親楊挺顯。楊簡的主要哲學貢獻在心學的發展上。宋孝宗乾道五年進士及第，授富陽主簿。楊簡師從哲學家陸九淵，具體實踐了陸氏「六經注我」的為學方法，主張「毋意」、「無念」、「無思無慮是謂道心」等，為「甬上四先生」之首。由于「朱陸之爭」，朱熹對于楊簡的評騭頗苛，不時以「異端」視之。奸相史彌遠是楊簡的學生，卻大力宣揚朱熹的《四書集注》。宋寧宗嘉定初，出知溫州，為官清廉，「務以德化感人。」為當地民眾所愛戴。官至寶謨閣學士，卒謚文元。
