曹粹中，字純老，自號放齋。定海（今屬浙江寧波鎮海）人。生卒年不詳。宣和六年進士，授黃州教授。李光以女妻之。秦檜專權，李光為參知政事，秦檜欲透過李光召見粹中，堅辭不赴。私下對妻子說：「尊公的才能最終能為秦檜所容嗎？」不久，李光果然被貶，自愧不如。粹中遂隱居不複仕出。張浚任相，起復通判建寧。有《詩說》三十卷，已佚。有子曹盅。
